The Best of Best at DLE Las Vegas Show Bands
Have you ever walked around a resort hotel lobby some Saturday evening where impressive live band sounds were emanating from the ballroom? Music leads you to the ballroom doors where the volume is so loud and perfect, as if you were inside! The doors open occasionally for wait staff and for guests looking for the rest rooms and in those moments, your ears hear amazing sounds! Whatever band is playing, they’re performing 40s big band swing, Disco, 80s, 90s and current Top 40 dance hits that sound even better than the original artists who made them famous! The lead vocals and vocal harmony are perfection! They also play salsa and feature a second percussionist. This band is, in a word, amazing! You have certainly found, by accident, one of the DLE Las Vegas Show Bands!
DLE Las Vegas Show Bands –
You’re determined to find out the name of the Band is but you don’t dare crash the event. Who wants to get thrown out of a resort hotel or ANY hotel for that matter? That would be embarrassing, to say the least! Ask the wait staff as they leave the ballroom but none of them know the Band’s name. A guest leaving the ballroom confirms that it’s DLE Las Vegas Show Bands
You are listening to “DLE Las Vegas Show Bands”–a large (8-piece or larger), highly-skilled cover band that plays all styles of dance music to perfection and features exceptional male and female vocals and vocal harmony, a band that may also offer front-line choreography, costume changes between sets and even professional dancers. If they feature fabulous costumes, I call them “Las Vegas show bands”; they have “the Las Vegas look”! Some of these groups feature what are called “A” players–the very top-of-the-line musicians and with your ear for great performances, you can hear the difference between guitarists, keyboardists and horn players in lower-echelon groups and these “A” players. In fact, your wife has already fallen in love with the second percussionist!
Show Band Presentations –
You’re lucky because this particular show band you’re hearing in that resort hotel ballroom is one of the top cover bands in the U.S. One of only 10 or 12 select show bands featured on our website at David Levin Entertainment. We’ve devoted an entire page on the site just for them–our DLE Las Vegas Show Bands! No cheap cover bands at DLE–“only the very best bands in America” and these are them!
Not every client can afford these groups, however, especially bridal couples. We understand this. There are of course many other entertainment companies that offer just that–cheap cover bands. We’ve done that in the past and it simply isn’t what we wanted to do. “Quality” is what we offer at DLE and we have very happy clients!
Speaking of cost, for Southern California weddings, quality local (based within 90 miles of the event) show bands start at about $6,900 for a 5 to 7-piece (performance fee only, thru an agency). The very best ones start at $10,000 or more for an 8-piece (with sax–performance fee only, thru an agency). 9-pieces (with trumpet) are around $11,300 (performance fee, thru an agency) and 10-pieces (male vocalist or second percussion) start at $12,500 (performance fee, thru an agency). For bands flying in, airfares, sound and backline rental, hotel rooms for one night and ground transportation are required.
Some bands driving in (for example, from Southern California to Las Vegas) bring their own sound and backline. All included in their performance fee. $10,000 to $12,500 for one of the best cover bands in the U.S. isn’t much for making a wedding reception a tremendous success. You and your guests will remember forever.
DLE Las Vegas Show Bands Corporate Entertainment –
Corporate event rates tend to be higher but it depends on the DLE Las Vegas Show Bands selected. For trade shows with thousands of attendees and where the band is performing in a very large room with lots of noise (din), flown line array speakers are advised. These are high-end speakers hung from the ceiling of the banquet room so that the band can be heard throughout the room. A truss of lights and moving lights are sometimes used for corporate events to accentuate a band’s performance. For bands flying in, airfares, sound and backline rental, hotel rooms for one night and ground transportation are required.
Show bands generally book a year in advance but are sometimes available for short-notice Saturday events. A deposit of half the performance fee received by DLE is required for the booking to be “official”. The remainder 50% is due to the bandleader at the event prior to start time.
